DDR was awarded the RAAF Darwin LIA project which involves the internal and external refurbishment of 15 Living in Accommodation (LIA) buildings, and one laundry annex building for a total of 181 rooms of which 14 buildings are Commonwealth Heritage listed. The heritage buildings date from 1940/1941 and are examples of tropical type housing modified to function as barracks and dormitories.
