Tradies Health Month

We recently held a toolbox meeting in Darwin that focused on Tradies Health Month. DDR’s HSE Advisor, Darryl, spoke emphatically about the positive and negative effects that a person’s diet, including consumption of alcohol, and quantity and quality of sleep, can have on a person physically and mentally. Darryl was humble enough to share his transformation to personal wellbeing, referring to his own battles with health (Darryl has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes) as a major driver for making significant changes to his lifestyle, primarily in the nutrition and fitness space.

Guest speaker, Craig, reflected on his own personal battle with health and wellness, which many people were able to resonate with. Craig also spoke of the changes that Darryl had helped him make to his diet and exercise regime that had resulted in significant weight loss and, in turn, improved his mental wellbeing and confidence. We would like to thank both Craig and Darryl for sharing their stories with our Darwin team and encouraging them to look after themselves and others.
