Project Description

The goal of this project is to refurbish and improve the four transit camps at the base, prolonging the life span of the facility and improving the overall usability and aesthetics of the buildings.

The camp is predominantly used for interstate and foreign troops during exercises and can accommodate over 800 people.

The scope of works comprises structural repairs, a complete re-paint, replacement of electrics, plumbing and flooring.

Project HIGHLIGHTS

  • Structural integrity: some of the older buildings were constructed in 1992, and having been subjected to extreme weather events, were in need of major repairs and waterproofing.
  • Usability of the buildings: maximising storage space for personal belongings within the rooms.
  • Replacement of services: such as electrics and plumbing with upgraded versions to comply with current industry standards and environmental regulations.
